Rwanda holds a number of festivals and events in different months of the year focusing on the countries culture and Art. All year round visitors to Rwanda have a number of opportunities to experience various unique festivals and events that are held around the country. Kwita Izina (Gorilla naming ceremony): Rwanda normally holds this event every year 1st July though in 2015 it was held in the different month at volcanoes national park a home to the mountain Gorillas. Last year 2014, the 18 baby mountain Gorillas where named as part of an ongoing conservation effort to protect the Mountain Gorillas. Everyone is welcome to join the celebration and if lucky you may share a name with a young lovely baby gorilla as the world come together to witness the occasion.

 The Hope Rwanda (100 Days of Hope)

If you miss out of the Gorilla naming ceremony then join other to give the Rwanda people hope and happiness as they celebrate the 100 days of hope. This event is always held to help the people of Rwanda overcome the horrors of the genocides experienced in 1994. This is truly a global effort, as churches and private parties around the world raise money, and others travel to Rwanda to help hands-on. Join the event and give joy and hope to many.
