Day 1: Leave Kigali for Nyungwe forest National Park

Wake up ready for the scenic drive to Nyungwe forest after breakfast with an en route visit the traditional palace of Rwanda’s Former King in Nyanza and many others arriving in the evening in the right time for Dinner and overnight stay at Gisakura hotel (Budget)/Nyungwe top view hotel (Deluxe)/Nyungwe forest camp (Luxury).

Day 2: Primate tracking (chimpanzee tracking) & Canopy Walk

After breakfast at your lodge of residence, leave for the chimpanzee tracking in the unique tourist destination with increased attractiveness. You will set out when its still dark like 5:00am in the morning and reach the area where the chimpanzees are found within the forest when its already day like at 6:00am. Take your time and watch the chimpanzees together with other primates the Angola colobus monkeys, forest birds over 310 bird species, 26 of which are endemic, reptiles and butterflies among others. Return for lunch, and later head for a relaxation forest canopy walk, Dinner and overnight at Gisakura hotel (Budget)/Nyungwe top view hotel (Deluxe)/Nyungwe forest camp (Luxury).

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes national park.
With fresh memories of the man’s close relative the chimpanzee, take breakfast and drive to Volcanoes national park in Ruhengeri situated which protects the steep slopes & home of the rare mountain Gorillas. Overnight at Kinigi guest house OR Muhabura hotel (Budget)/La Palme hotel (Deluxe)/Mountain gorilla view lodge (Luxury) as you prepare for the following day’s Great adventure.

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking Tour

By February 2013, there are 10 habituated Gorilla groups which are for tourism purposes, and these are the ones that gorilla trackers visit. At maximum 8 persons can visit each gorilla group per day spending a maximum one hour each visit. These groups include Susa group, Sabinyo, Amahoro, Group 13 (Agasha group), Kwitonda, Umubano, Bwengye, Hirwa, Karinsimbi, Ugenda.

Take breakfast before reporting to the park headquarters for briefing from the senior park ranger, followed by gorilla trekking which normally takes 2 to 6 hours in the jungle. You will be allowed to stay in the presence of the gorillas for a maximum of 1 full hour. Later return to your Hotel for lunch and spend the evening relaxing. Dinner and overnight stay at Kinigi guest house (Budget) labamboo (Deluxe) Mountain Gorilla view lodge (luxury)

Day 5: Transfer back to Kigali with optional Golden monkey trek

After breakfast, have an optional Golden Monkey trek before embarking on the Journey back to Kigali where you will reach early for a city tour. Check in your hotel in Kigali for dinner and overnight or transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
