Watch several bird species in Entebbe, Victoria islands and Mabamba Wetland in Uganda. The Mabamba wetland renowned for hosting the rare Shoebill Stork and is famous to be blessed with a variety of bird species, Papyrus Gonolek, White Shouldered Tit, Red Cap, Western Banded Snake Eagle, White Winged Warbler, White Spotted Fluftail and others.

Day 1: Birding in Entebbe’s UWEC & Botanical Gardens

Pick up from your hotel or airport and start the day with a visit to the Entebbe botanical gardens and UWEC, home to captive animals and over 170 species of birds. These include 7 species of weavers, such as the rare Northern Masked Weaver and Orange Weaver, Kingfishers, Sunbirds among others. Have lunch and enjoy afternoon birding in the Entebbe Botanical Gardens where you will encounter over 150 species of birds. Look out for the Bare faced-go away bird, Great Blue and Ross’s Turacos, Red Chested, Klaas’s and Diederik Cuckoo, Great Reed Warbler, Fain Tailed Widow bird, Striped, Malachite, Giant, Woodland and Pygmy Kingfishers, Black Bishop, Grey Woodpecker, Olive, Olive bellied, Red chested, superb, Copper among others. Meals and overnight at Boma hotel ,sunset motel,Gately inn

Day 2: Mabamba Island & the Search for Shorbills

Early transfer to Mabamba Swamp, 50 kms west of Kampala. Look out for many different birds on our way to the swamp like the Papyrus Gonolek, White Shouldered Tit, Red Cap, Western Banded Snake Eagle, White Winged Warbler, White Spotted Fluftail and Weyns Weaver without fogeting the rare shoebill. Take a canoe boat ride as you search for the birds, have lunch and later hit the road back to Entebbe for Dinner and overnight at your lodge of day 1.

Day 3: Set off for Bukasa Island tour Uganda

Depart from Entebbe by ferry to Bukasa Island or travel by car via Masaka Road to Nyendo then to Bukakata, cross the lake by the ferry and proceed to Bukasa Island. Meet the friendly Islanders, delightful empty beaches and the fascinating peaceful environment. Dinner and overnight at the Ssese Palm Beach/Ssese habitant hotel.

Day 4: Full day birding Islands tour

After breakfast we shall have a full day exploring the island birding spot in search of different species & primates. Meals & overnight at your lodge of day 3.

Day 5: Birding Uganda & a fishing Africa

Have breakfast and start the day by more birding adventure on the various Islands ,have lunch at your lodge .Afternoon relax by walking around the beach and have a feel of the pure and white sand. Go fishing in the afternoon till the wee hours of the evening.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge of day 4.

Day 6: Return to Entebbe

Have breakfast at leisure and take a ferry back to Entebbe arriving in the time for lunch in Entebbe for a drop off at the airport or at your hotel of residence. End of trip.
